Why on Earth do we do this anyway?

Has anybody ever wondered why we blog? I mean... if it was private... then nobody could read it, so what's the sense in that? But if it's public... then I might as well be hanging my underwear out to dry in front of my house for all to see. Not that boxers are terribly risque anywho. But all the same, why do I sit down in front of my computer, and decide to write random thoughts or cares for all to read? I have no clue... I've been trying to find time these past several weeks to write THIS exact post. The post about how I don't know why I post. Oh well... at least it isn't consuming my life...
